Take Your Time - An interview

Last summer I got a surprise email asking me for an interview and time for a photoshoot. To me? How? Why? The person asking was the photographer Cornelia Köster, who has turned her blog "Take Your Time" into a project in which she takes an interest in professional careers and life journeys that are a bit out of the ordinary. After 12 years as an illustrator, I don't think I'm doing anything worthy of an interview. But if I look at it from my perspective of... let's say 15 years ago, the truth is that there were more expected trajectories than this one. But no more desirable, I have to say.

Cornelia had heard about my career change when I was almost forty years old and wanted to know more. She came one afternoon in September with all her equipment, her saintly patience and her time. We had a good time, we laughed a lot, Conny ended up lying on the floor of my studio taking her photos and the result couldn't have left me more satisfied. I especially love the photos you can see here below.

All photographs by Cornelia Köster.

You can read the interview here and the video is on YouTube.

Last month she surprised me yet again as I opened my mailbox and discovered a magazine she has printed singlehanded, featuring my and some other interviews. I think she is an excellent candidate for her own blog.

More about lives that have taken an unexpected turn or have always been guided by a special enthusiasm: on Conny's blog “Take Your Time”. If you are looking for a sensational and sensitive photo shoot, don't hesitate to contact her.

To you Conny: THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
